Winter is coming to an end and though it pains us to say it, our bikini bodies are still in deep hibernation. Jokes apart, jackets are the absolute in things to ramp up your style this summer!

Fashion in the freezing winter months is centred more or less around being warm. The sheer joy of summers is that one can experiment for pure fashion.

Bring on the classy, the chic, the breezy, the eccentric jackets we say... It is time to have some fun with these fun women summer wear

Let's get to know Jackets:

Have you ever thought about the origin of the word Jacket? The word jacket comes from the French word jaquette. The term comes from the Middle French noun jaquet, which refers to a small or lightweight tunic. In Modern French, jaquette is synonymous with jacket.

According to wikipedia, the word is cognate with Spanish jaco and Italian giacca or giacchetta, first recorded around 1350s. It is ultimately loaned from Arabic shakk, which in turn loaned from Aramean/Assyrian and Hebrew shaḳḳ.

There are more than 50 types of jackets ranging from the famous Nehru Jackets to Boleros (a very short jacket used by the matadors) or a hoodie jacket for women.

Like we mentioned earlier, a jacket can make or break an outfit, dress it up or down, be a fashion statement or add balance to an ensemble.

Let's take a look at some of the jackets that can make the perfect women summer wear:

Denim Jacket: The absolute perfect third piece for most outfits, now it has graduated to an able second as well. They are versatile, come in so many styles and can partner with almost any outfit. They look great with jeans or even pants, look chic with a top and skirts and don't even get us started on how cool they look with summer dresses!

Just by adding a denim jacket, you can make your sweatpants look funky. It is a staple that will add so much variety.

Leather Jacket: If super cool had a fashion blog, the leather jacket would be its centrepiece. The leather jacket adds a certain charisma to the wearer's character. Most importantly, they never go out of style. They can be worn in summer, winter and every time in between.

Lightweight Trench Jacket: Did you know that originally they were designed by British brands Aquascutum and Burberry as a military piece to be worn by senior officers in the trenches during World War I (therefore the name - Trench Coat!).

This beauty has outlived its military avatar and evolved into a fashion staple. The prints and the cuts have changed, but how much 'cool' they add to your wardrobe has not lessened by an iota!

Hoodie Jacket for Women: Stylish yet practical, hoodie jackets are the perfect piece to break out of the rut and look stylish and comfortable. They are light enough to wear everyday and warm enough to keep you cosy and warm.
